An impression from the Valentino Autumn/Winter 2016 Couture show in Paris found on Vogue
With summer temperatures still going on in Europe it is hard to imagine it is actually autumn already. The designers were in fact ready for autumn in July, when this show took place. Valentino A/W 2016 Couture in Paris. Location at the grand Hotel Salomon de Rothschild.
We see Victorian style in black and white with a modern twist. Totally my cup of tea. Love it when designers go back in time.
For some, maybe over the top, but for me brilliantly executed. What about these neck collar with ruffs, love!
Stunning dress with a ruffled collar. A very dramatic look with beautiful looking details woven into the hair.
It is all about the details, collars and the ruffs at Valentino’s A/W 2016 Couture show.
It was the last time Maria Grazia Chiuri participated for Valentino. She has left her role as co-creative director to take the helm at Christian Dior. We can’t wait to see more of her!
“When in doubt, overdress”
